Custom cut glass is often used for shelving or worktop/sideboard surfaces where a robust area is needed for hot drinks for example.
However, the type of finish achievable is limited with glass, so Arc Lumen prefers to use acrylic where possible.
Acrylic is much more versatile and can be bought in many styles, shapes, and colours – from rods to sheets, transparent to solid and clear finishes. Acrylic also works very well with accent lighting and can act like a fibre optic cable if used in the right circumstances.
